About Ad Solem

Chamber Choir
Manchester

Ad Solem is a student-run auditioned chamber choir based at the University of Manchester as part of the Manchester University Music Society. We open auditions every year for new members. The choir enjoys singing an eclectic range of music, regularly performing around the North West of England. Ad Solem have also been on tours including Hungary, Estonia, and Italy. Recent performances include collaborations with the Hallé and an appearance on the BBC’s Songs of Praise. Each term, the choir performs in the Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama, which is also where we are based for rehearsals, which are 1900-2100 on Thursdays. The choir’s director is Elspeth Slorach, and she is assisted by Luke Mather and Rory Johnston. Enquiries about booking the choir, auditions, or any other information should be directed to the Ad Solem manager Gary Allen-McLewee at [email protected]
