Victor's first solo appearance as a singer was in Carmina Burana for an audience of 2000 people, still as a student of Classical Singing at the Universidade Tom Jobim in Sao Paulo (EMESP), Brazil. After enjoying a successful career as a dentist, Victor joined the internationally awarded professional Symphonic Choir of the State of Sao Paulo, OSESP (Brazil) in 2002. In 2011, after being awarded a bursary, he completed the APS Opera Studio in London. Victor receives singing orientation from Robert Dean (GSMD) since 2013.
Victor's engagements for 2015/16 include: Amonasro (cover) in “Aida” (SDO), Macbeth (title role), Cecil in Maria Stuarda (and Talbot cover) and Enrico (cover) in Lucia di Lammermoor on tour in Scotland and the Bass solos in Handel's Messiah with the Philharmonia Chorus in Valencia.
He is described by critics for “deliciously executing” the role of Polyphemus and making a “perfect marriage between text and music” (Bachtrack). Also, “his charming Escamillo gives us a matador with bold baritone presence” (LDN Card). Being cookery his weakest skill, he decided to dedicate his life to other chores such as cleaning the house and taking care of the dishes.
Victor's Brazilian roots are easily spotted when you hear his lyric baritone voice singing Bossa Nova and MPB (Brazilian Popular Music).
