Cornish born and bred, I learned flute and piano from an early age. I studied music at Helston Community College and joined their jazz band after taking up the saxophone. I went on to take a Jazz and Popular Music Degree at Middlesex University, followed by a PGCE in Music Education and became head of music for 10 years at a local secondary school. After being a member of both the Cornwall and National Youth Jazz orchestras, I now enjoy leading a successful local big band – Cornish Roots. As a player, I enjoy playing regularly in local bands, ensembles and shows. I am currently based in the Helston area and teach woodwind, keyboards and curriculum music in local schools.

I am thrilled that Vintage Vamps are able to play at our charity festival. Having gone to school with Verena and Sarah, and heard all of them play in other bands, I am looking forward to hearing their new band.

This band were amazing. I loved the vintage theme, with all my favourite modern songs covered. They were very professional and kept great contact through the booking. I would highly recommend Vintage Vamps!
