Tom is a London based saxophonist, composer and fellow of the Guildhall School, currently under the tutelage of John Harle and Laurence Crane. Tom performs in a wide variety of projects and ensembles including his own contemporary music ensemble Masque Collective, and is the baritone saxophonist in the Quantum Saxophone Quartet. His active interest in contemporary music has lead him to perform in Milton Court; the Wigmore Hall; Tête a Tête opera festival; the London Jazz festival; BBC Radio 3’s Total Immersion series; Steve Reich’s 80th birthday weekend at the Barbican; and appeared as a soloist in the Barbican Concert Hall, performing Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Two Memorials. Furthermore, Tom performs in horn sections with various bands, which has included joining Bastille on their 2016 arena tour, as well as recording several live sessions with them. When not engaged musically, Tom works as a photographer, camera operator and retoucher, and is assistant the photographer Ian Dingle.
