About The Wandering Bard

Traditional Music ensemble
Amsterdam/Portugal
The Wandering Bard is a versatile group that performs traditional and early music mainly from the British Isles.

Formed of four musicians; Kat Carson, soprano, Esin Yardimli Alves Pereira, violin, Ricardo Alves Pereira, Guitar and Adam Passingham, Bodhran, they are a European based group, with members living in the Netherlands and Portugal, where they perform regularly. They embrace early music masterpieces from the 16th - 18th centuries and ageless folk classics, creating unique programmes that are intimate and evocative. The use of musical narratives adds an extra depth to their performances, bridging the gap between audience and performer by stimulating the imagination and guiding participants through a sonorous landscape of words and music. Active since 2016, the group currently have four programmes on offer; The Wandering Bard, In Company with King Henry, The Lady in Green, and Blow Away the Morning Dew: Tales From the British Isles. They are also in the process of releasing their debut album: The Wandering Bard.
