The Galapagogos originally formed over 5 years ago as part of the music society at Darwin College, University of Cambridge. After a rebrand (The Darwin College Band isn't quite as catchy as "The Galapagogos") and a brief hiatus during Covid, the band are back and better than ever! We play pop/funk bangers and slick mashups that keep the audience grooving from our first song to our last! Expect to hear your favourite party tunes, with a few surprises thrown in! We regularly perform at university events and balls, in addition to private parties and weddings, and are happy to liaise with you to ensure our set-list reflects the energy and vibe of your event. Our performance highlight has to be playing during the Cambridge May Ball Week in Summer 2022 - when we played over 13 gigs in 8 days!

We hired The Galapagogos for our 40th birthday party. They were a pleasure to deal with in the run up to the event, friendly and responsive, and able to work around our requirements and those of the venue. They were also very professional and respectful at the event itself. They play really well together and also seemed to be having a good time themselves, which really added to the atmosphere. They were a big hit with our guests of all ages and I would definitely recommend them for parties and large events.

We had the brilliant Galapagogos play at our wedding reception in October 2021 and they were absolutely fantastic! Considering we were just coming out of covid at that time, they did a wonderful job of putting us at ease from the get-go by providing all the info we needed to know beforehand and doing what we hired them to do with the utmost professionalism and care. They even accommodated a musical number that included me (the groom) on vocals and guitar, which we really appreciated! They brought soul, talent and groove to our reception and even had the oldest guests dancing into the night, making our wedding day all the more special. Couldn't recommend these guys more!
