I studied at Trinity College of Music where I gained a BMus (Hons) Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma. I was also awarded the Band/Kurtz award for viola playing, the Vera Kantrovich Prize for solo string playing and the Sir John Barbirolli Prize for string quartet. As a professional orchestral and chamber musician, I have worked with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, RTE National Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Scottish and BBC Concert Orchestras. I have also done session work performing alongside artists including McFly and various film and TV soundtracks such as Madagascar. I have over 13 years experience teaching both the violin and viola and teach privately throughout Surrey and Hampshire. I also teach music theory and piano lessons. I am a founding member and manager of Quattro String Quartet, performing regularly at weddings and corporate events.

Tamasin has taught violin to our daughter for just over three years, and she is an excellent teacher who always makes the lessons enjoyable and very worthwhile. Under her care, our daughter passed Grade 3 with distinction, passed grade 4 and is now preparing for Grade 5, and she enjoys playing in the school string orchestra as well. She also passed Grade 5 theory with distinction under Miss Cline’s tuition. I would thoroughly recommend Miss Cline as a violin and viola teacher. Her friendly personality, enthusiasm, commitment and expertise make her the perfect teacher.
