About Star Duo

Jazz Duo
Malvern
Husband and wife duo playing saxophones and clarinets for background music at receptions, parties etc.

We are a husband and wife duo; we play clarinets saxophones and keyboard. We have played for many years and are very experienced. Mostly we perform background music (no singer) for various functions,, such as drinks receptions, weddings, birthday parties etc where the music is required to be more low key and people want to chat and socialise as well as having some musical entertainment. We do NOT play too loud! You can have some entertaining music without having to shout at your friends and relatives to make yourself heard. In order to keep costs down for you and to take up less space at your venue, we use a recorded backing track in place of piano, bass and drums. So, we would bring a small PA system, our clarinets and saxes, and maybe a keyboard if requested and if space allows. The name 'Star Duo' came about because of a gig at our local pub, the Star Inn. We have public liability insurance through membership of the ISM (Incorporated Society of Musicians).
