Sonia studied music at the University of Hull and graduated in 2008 with a Bmus(hons). The following year, she moved to London (Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance ) to undertake her masters in Early Music Vocal Performance under the tutelage of Timothy Travers Brown and Sophie Grimmer, graduating in 2011. Since 2009 Sonia has been performing regularly throughout the West Midlands. Solo soprano engagements include: Handel’s Creation, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solenelle, Haydn’s Maria Theresa Masse, Schubert’s Mass in G, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Rutter’s Magnificat, Mozart’s Regina Coeli, Missa in C and Vespers. As well as a healthy concert repertoire Sonia also undertakes recording work. Credits to her name so far are her own first album New Vintage, In the Living Years with The Soldiers and Mike Rutherford, Glen Taylor's Row of Ashes and The Leaves of Life with the Henry Lee singers. She is currently in the studio recording her second album Off the Beat and Track.
