String quartet
Public liability insurance of £1 million

We are a string trio from north London - 2 violins and a cello (we can also offer a quartet, duo or solo, just ask us). We cover a range of styles with something for everyone from pop to classical, including film themes, folk tunes, dances and well known songs from all era's - 20s, 60s, 80s, 90s. We are perfect for events with lots of age groups present as our repertoire crosses the genres and the eras! Pachelbel's Canon in D seems to be a must for every wedding... so of course we play that as well as lots of other popular tunes. We are easy going musicians who are happy to work with you so that you will feel confident about how the music will happen on the day. We are also able to play requests with a bit of notice. Amplification is available if it is needed but we mainly play un-amplified.

Yes, you can choose which pieces you prefer, we can even take some requests if there is time or we can write the set list for you as we are experienced at setting the pace of events and are familiar with the repertoire.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, as long as we can source the music and have time to rehearse it.

String Thing provided that rich of class to my church wedding. They played to the guests before I arrived then played my bridesmaids down the aisle. They were very accommodating and open to all ideas and requests. The guests loved them! I received so many compliments for the music provided by String Thing. Thank you so much

We had this great string quartet playing at my mothers 90th birthday. They had a great repertoire of tunes and songs that everyone loved. There was something for everyone.
