Scarlett is an exciting flute and piccolo player based in London; performing solo, chamber and orchestral repertoire. She is also an experienced instrumental teacher with a passion for music education. In September 2018, Scarlett started a MMus degree in Flute Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She is currently studying flute with Margaret Campbell and piccolo with Chris Green. Scarlett has taken part in various ensembles at Trinity including the Symphonic Winds and the Side-by-Side scheme with players from the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. In April 2019, Scarlett reached the finals of both the Flute Prize and the Harold Clarke Woodwind competitions. Scarlett is a member of Eurus Flutes, a quartet of Trinity Laban flautists. They enjoy playing a range of music including contemporary compositions for flute quartet and fun arrangements of well-known classics. The ensemble have been playing together since October 2018 and are available for hire for all occasions. Outside of college, Scarlett has played with several orchestras around London including the Blackheath Halls Orchestra, Docklands Sinfonia and the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra. She also enjoys playing for musical theatre productions Prior to studying at Trinity Laban, Scarlett gained a 1st Class degree in Music from the University of Nottingham, during which she studied flute with Dana Morgan. She was the principal flute of the University of Nottingham Philharmonia Orchestra and the university's Wind Orchestra, with whom she also performed Mike Mower's Flute Concerto in March 2018. When not practising or performing, Scarlett enjoys going to the gym, baking, reading and going to the theatre. She also loves visiting her family and Muffin the cockapoo in Norfolk!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Just get in touch and in most cases, this will not be a problem!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Unfortunately no.

How much time do you need to set up?

This very much depends on the occasion but not very long at all. For some events, I may require extra warm up time and somewhere for me to do this.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Depending on the occasion, yes, You can also make requests in advance of your booking for me to learn. (In some cases this may incur an extra fee)

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Usually yes!
