About Forna Quartet
The Forna Quartet(formerly know as Sattler Quartet) was formed at the Royal College of Music in 2011, and they currently enjoy a busy a varied performing career based in London. Recitals include King’s Place, St. James’ Piccadilly, Cadogan Hall and St. John’s Smith Square, where they performed John Tavener’s “Hidden Treasure” in memory and tribute to the composer in January 2014. In July the quartet were invited to the U.S by Maestro Lorin Maazel to take part in the Castleton Festival. During their studies the quartet received training by members of the Sacconi, London Haydn, Navarra, Kuss, Fine Arts, Belcea and Vogler Quartets. In addition their development has been overseen by chamber musicians Mark Messenger, Simon Rowland-Jones and Susie Mezsaros. The quartet have a close affinity with Beethoven having performed many of his quartets.
