Ruth Hunt

Ruth studied Music at the University of Birmingham, specialising in composition, and graduated in 2014 with a 2:1 BMus (hons). During her time here, she progressed in her trombone tuition, and played in a variety of university ensembles. In her final year she took up the bass trombone, and played this in the University's 10 piece Symphonic Brass ensemble, which played a number of concerts as well as playing in the university graduation ceremonies. After graduating, Ruth spent a few months living in Bedford, her home town, where she became a member of the Bedford Concert Brass Band, and Kempston Concert band. Since April 2015, Ruth has been living in East London, working for a youth engagement charity based in Waterloo. Since September 2015, Ruth has been a member of the London Euphonia Orchestra and the City of London Brass Band, part of the North London Brass Network.
