Rose Hinton

Rosemary was educated at the Royal Academy of Music and has since performed at prestigious concert venues worldwide with professional orchestras including the BBC Concert Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She has backed internationally acclaimed artists such as the Pet Shop Boys, Kylie Minogue, Bryn Terfel and Katherine Jenkins as well as played under the direction of many eminent conductors of the era. This includes; Charles Dutoit, Semyon Bychkov, Marin Alsop, Sir Mark Elder, Sir Edward Gardner, Vladimir Jurowski, Vasily Petrenko, Antonio Pappano, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Oliver Knussen and David Zinman. Rosemary features on remastered recordings of songs by Aretha Franklin and Roy Orbison as well as other classical and commercial recordings. An enthusiastic chamber musician, Rosemary is involved with an eclectic group of ensembles, ranging from the glamorous, electric string trio "Silken Strings" to the exciting Flexi-Ensemble "Mirage". She was the former 1st violinist of the "Stella Quartet" (2010-2016) that performed regularly in recitals around Europe as well as being involved with extensive educational and community work with organisations such as Wigmore Hall Learning and Brent & Camden Music Services. The Stella Quartet completed an ensemble fellowship with the Royal Academy of Music in 2016. As a soloist, Rosemary has performed concertos by Bruch and Brahms with orchestra as well as the haunting "Fratres" by Arvo Part and well-loved "Meditation" from Thais. Rosemary is a violin teacher and chamber music coach at Queens College, London and a chamber music coach for the Cambridge Suzuki Young Musicians. She became a Concordia Foundation Artist in 2014 and, as part of this, has performed recitals in and around London, including at St James Piccadilly. Rosemary received a 1st Class Honours degree in violin performance from the Royal Academy of Music in 2015, having studied with Professor Tomotada Soh and received master-classes with Maxim Vengerov and Tasmin Little.
