Robert is a Singer - Songwriter from Devon. He recently emerged onto the local music scene after 10 years of writing songs in his bedroom. Ready to face enthusiastic crowds and venues with his songs. These are a mix of melancholy lyrics, technical guitar riffs and passionate performances. Each song has a story to tell and Robert is happy to give his audiences some insight behind the songs meanings. Recently released Debut Single 'For The Best' encompasses the start of his career in the music industry. Many people are surprised that he is influenced by a lot of Heavy Metal, also with the ability to scream; like any good metal band front man. My first Release was written in 20 minutes on a bus journey, the song hasn't changed much since. It's about the effects of staying in a relationship you know is bad for you but have an attachment to the person, even though you know they will only hurt you in the long run. The line "it's much better with your walls, standing tall" is about keeping your guard up, to avoid being hurt anymore. However, various people have taken different meanings from the song and I would always encourage people to find their own meaning in my lyrics. I released the track on the 6th of May 2018 and it is my first studio single release. I have an albums worth of material ready to be recorded and I have played a handful of small festivals this year and gigged in the locality. I find it is difficult to genre my music as each song is different from the last. they are a mish-mash of various artists and genres in the hopes of creating something new and original.
