'Rivers' was formed after solo acts Christian Larsmon and Hayley Daviss met during the virtual festival Rock The Lockdown, Wiltshire, to raise money for the NHS. Christian has been performing music since he was a child after picking up his mum's acoustic guitar. He immediately got obsessed and quickly started a band ripping off pop punk covers at school with his mates. Today, he still loves a good head bang to The Rock Show and Basket Case. During Christian's career, he has supported rock legends such as Eric Clapton, Arthur Brown and The Pretty Things and has performed at various independent festivals both in the UK and abroad. Hayley fell in love with singing a child and would often sing Disney songs to help her sister sleep. Her first live performance was when she took to the stage 'Hero' by Mariah Carey at her school talent show, which sparked her drive to start for 'Goldman', a pop/disco band from Swindon who were a regular act at Bristol pride and released song which was remixed and ended up getting 100K streams online. Together, with Christian's background as a front man in rock bands and influences such as Fleetwood Mac and Eric Clapton paired up with Hayley's love for all things pop and country has resulted in a vibrant and 'moorish' sound that'll leave you and your guests wanting more.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No problem. I appreciate that sometimes I have to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. No charge if you would like music played between sets. If you would like a DJ service for after the performance, then I charge an additional £100 for this.

How much time do you need to set up?

I will drive at least 1 hour before I play, but set up takes no longer than 10-15 minutes as there is minimal equipment. If you have a PA system, I may come earlier, just to ensure I know that the equipment functions properly.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set lists are designed after countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, I'm definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event on a Skype call.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! I do not have a PA system, but I have a sophisticated amplifier which is is more than suitable for guitar and vocals.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance that I may already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The passion and soul I put into every song. Natural ability to engage audiences. Ability to learn songs very quickly.

Various weddings, Fiddlers Elbow (London and Brighton), The Star (Guildford), The Boileroom (Guildford), Wintershall Festival, Reading Festival.

What an exceptional performer and musician. I booked Christian for a winter ball dinner. I gave him free reign to perform whatever he liked, and he did not fail to impress on both vocally and on guitar! He communicated effectively and concisely in the lead up to the event, unfortunately got a little lost en route but otherwise highly professional and got here in the nick of time. He brought all his own equipment including extension lead, only requiring space to perform and a chair. He impressed both the organising staff and VIPs at the function and I'd certainly book him again for a similar event.
