What do your clients love most about your performances?
We are well dressed, energetic and sophisticated jazz performers, who can adapt to the venue or occasion. Clients in the past have loved our in the background, chilled out jazz, whilst other clients enjoy our more funkier sets and party vibes. We are highly trained and specialists of jazz, all studying at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire jazz department.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Trad Jazz; Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday, Johnny Mercer, Nat King Cole.
Bebop Jazz; Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Chet Baker, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone.
Big Band/Swing; Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Dean Martin, Michael Bublé.
Modern Jazz; Benny Bench, Emmet Cohen, Snarky Puppy, Cyrille Aimee.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Function high profile - Corporate event at Sutton Park restaurant (The Bracebridge). We performed as a Quintet with singer and DJ + Saxophone set (please see our video footage).
Jazz scene high profile - Eastside Jazz Club. The home of jazz in Birmingham City Centre, the venue hosts jazz musicians from around the world.
Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?
Jazz bands are very flexible - the ensembles can change depending on what the customer requires. We are all very well connected to the jazz scenes in the UK, and can choose ensemble members to fit your requirements.
If requested as on videos/photos/albums etc. if the musicians are available on the date you require then we will coordinate the band accordingly
Do you have different line-up options?
Our line-up can change very easily from the following;
Trio (Drums, double bass, and melody player)
Quartet (Rhythm section plus singer or horn player)
Quintet (Rhythm section plus singer and horn player, or two horns)
For further ensembles please request a line up and we can accommodate.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We always try to be flexible, if timings change just let us know.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
This popular request is something we can offer, and have experience with. Not only can we provide music in between our sets (iPod/DJ), we also provide a DJ + Saxophone set perfect for background or party vibes.
How much time do you need to set up?
Maximum set up time is usually 1 hour.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Our repertoire as jazz musicians is never ending, it even includes jazzy versions of pop songs. We are more than happy to take requests. Our song list is only a guide, we can learn songs on request and even play on the spot if they are well known jazz standards.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes. We provide all equipment including a PA system, the only info that may change this is the size of venue, we would need to know how much equipment to bring etc.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
Yes of course. We will always check the vibe and genre before choosing repertoire, this allows the customer to direct some of our choices when discussing the event.
