About Raleigh Music Society, Newnham College

Newnham College
Newnham's Raleigh Music Society puts on an exciting and eclectic array of free concerts each term. Everyone welcome to take part and attend!

The Raleigh Music Society is one of the oldest music societies in Cambridge, founded in 1883 by Newnham student K.A. Raleigh. We put on lunchtime recitals every Wednesday in the beautiful setting of the Old Labs, as well as a main concert at the end of each term in Clough Hall (one of the prettiest College halls in Cambridge!) Newnham has various ensembles run by the Raleigh Society, including our orchestra, our main choir and Voices of Newnham (a small a cappella group).
