Hello My name is Phil McConnell . I have been playing the Highland bagpipes for over 45 years. As a member of the Royal Artillery pipe band in Liverpool, I have played the pipes on Horse Guards Parade in the presence of her majesty the queen. I have also been a member of the Clan McLeod Pipe band , The Warrington pipe band WORLDPIPE BAND CHAPMIONS grade 3 in 1975. and winners of 5 major pipe band competitions that year and were proclaimed Champion of Champions. Whether it is a wedding, a funeral, party or a Burns night supper and wish to hire a piper , get in touch with Phil who will make a wonderful addition to your event. What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible and to ensure that your event runs smoothly. If timings change slightly just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I am sorry I can't provide a DJ or ipod

How much time do you need to set up?

about 15 minutes but I always get to a venue about an hour before hand.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes you can. If you have any tunes that you would like me to play that isn't included on my song list , please let me know. I have more tunes that I can play that are not on the list.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes I bring my own instrument to play.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes. I can usually learn a tune within two week

What do your clients love most about your performances?

People find me Professional, very smart in my appearance, Punctual, Knowledgeable and like the sound of my bagpipes.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I play regularly for the Merseyside Police at passing out parades. World pipe band championships Manchester Aviation centre for Remembrance services 250th Anniversary of the Royal Artillery on Horse Guards Parade in the percent's of Her Majesty Th Queen Edinburgh Commonwealth Games Hamilton Square on the Wirral on Remembrance Sundays

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Playing the pipes on Horse Guards Parade in front of Her Majesty the queen. Playing the pipes at the Edinburgh Commonwealth Games in 1986
