Based in Chichester, we are a young string quartet that plays arrangements of all genres, guaranteeing enthusiasm, perfect for any event!

We are a southern based string quartet; currently Students at the University of Chichester Conservatoire. The 4 of us are talented all round musicians, meeting regularly to play together. We have played a range of music, for different occasions, ranging from Bohemian Rhapsody to a classical quartet by Mendelssohn! Our quartet never fails to create a warm atmosphere with permanent smiles on our faces.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We are often told how we offer a sense of joy to our listeners, it sometimes even takes their attention away from what they were originally doing!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have performed at various hotels and colleges for different occasions.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Countless String quartets and our teachers, and each other !

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes, if you would only like 2 string players or 3 that is also possible.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are flexible, especially as its your event. We will ensure we try our best to work around your schedule. If timings change just let us know.

How much time do you need to set up?

It doesn't usually take long to set up, just a quick warming up of instruments, tuning, stands will all take about 15-20 minutes.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, absolutely. We are happy for some pieces to be chosen to cater for the event. We just have a set list that has worked for us in the past.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yep, we'll deal with that!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in our piece-list, with enough time we can learn it and include it with extra rehearsal time.

The Otter Quartet is a group of talented young musicians, currently studying for their music degrees at the University of Chichester Conservatoire. They perform a range of repertoire from Classical to more modern popular pieces which would be suitable for many different occasions. They play with enthusiasm and sensitivity and clearly enjoy performing together as a quartet. They are professional, personable and reliable and will do their best to make your special occasion memorable.

The Otter String Quartet based in Chichester University played and entertained the guests at Chichester District Council Annual Chairman's Reception. They played a mixture of classical and more modern music which gave the evening a first class ambience. They arrived on time and were all set up before the arrival of the first guests. I can thoroughly recommend the Otter String Quartet and would not hesitate to employ them in the future.
