About Mudslide Morris & the Revelators

Rock band
Oxford
Mudslide Morris & the Revelators play a lively & extremely danceable mixture of blues, boogie and classic rock.

Mudslide Morris and the Revelators have been causing folks to put on their dancing shoes and boogie around the Oxford area for the past couple of years. Mudslide specialises in the kind of infectious boogie beloved of the late great John Lee Hooker and Canned Heat. Mudslide has a penchant for all kinds of interesting guitars, such as Diddley Bows, cigar box guitars, National Steels and lap steels, and will often blow a mean electric harp whilst laying down some blues-soaked juke joint grooves. Add in some time-honoured classics by the likes of Hendrix, Dylan, the White Stripes and the Stones, and you've got a helluva juke joint party

Various comments from happy punters include - "You're a breath of fresh air in that you play exciting music and not the usual 'Mustang Sally'...etc" - "We love dancing to your music" - "Please keep on keeping on, your music's very special" - "You're the best band we've ever had in this pub" - "This is the most fun I've had with my clothes on!" - "You put on a real show!" - our new drummer, who had previously been in a heavy metal band, looked up while he was playing and said he was amazed to see a sea of smiles instead of the usual stern faces that he used to see with his HM band
