Acoustic trio specialising on 1920s and 30s swing.

We play for lots of garden parties in the summer and greeting or drinks parties. We have a good relationship with our local venues in Brighton and Sussex and often rock up to entertain at the more upmarket London Hotels including The Savoy, Dorchester and Hilton Park Lane. We have performed at the opening of the supercasino in Milton Keynes, parties on the roof garden at Credit Suisse in Aldgate. Performing together for ten years our trio are an unusual mix of very experienced musicians, prog rocker Terry, Western Swing King Piers and Musical Theater Tim. Terry joined Prog Rockers The Enid in 1976 and extensively toured for the next four years until becoming an established London session player with Brian May (Queen), Steve Hackett (Genesis), Jan Akkerman (Focus), Bonnie Tyler, Cozy Powell (Rod Stewart, Rainbow, ELP), Graham Bonnet (Rainbow), Chris Thompson (Manfred Mann), Bernie Marsden and Mickey Moody (Whitesnake), Don Airey (Deep Purple), Steve Howe (Yes), Kim Wilde, Samantha Fox. Moving to Italy and working on the European jazz scene until moving back to the British jazz scene in 1999. Piers, currently the house band at Smalls has accompanied many of the top American and British musicians including; Scott Hamilton, Enrico Tomasso, John Barnes, Kenny Davern, Diz Disley, Bobby Wellins, Stacey Kent, Vince Giordano, Ken Peplowski, Dave Shepherd, Mike Piggott, Keith Nichols and, in his opinion, the greatest living Rhythm guitar player, Marty Grosz. He has also played with Martin Wheatleys' Arcadians and Paul Laceys' Back to Basie Orchestra. To date he has recorded 5 C.D.'s "Blues, Boogies and Rags" (solo acoustic Blues and Ragtime guitar), "Strohlin' and Stumblin" (duets with violinist Mike Piggott), "Jason Henson and Piers Clark" (acoustic Jazz guitar duets) "More acoustic Jazz Guitar Duets" Jason Henson & Piers Clark" and "The Priory St. Stardusters" (a five piece group playing songs and instrumentals from the 1930s and 40s.) He teaches fingerpicking Blues guitar and Jazz Rhythm guitar on a one to one basis and also runs a Jazz Workshop, (for all instruments) bi weekly in Lewes, Sussex and a weekly workshop Shoreham. Finally, Tim works as a musician with the Stomp Company in the Lost and Found Orchestra. After run at the Sydney Opera House in the Sydney Festival, Royal Festival Hall London, Amsterdam, Miami FL, Raleigh NC, Los Angeles, Brighton, Paris, Cologne and just back from Adelaide Festival. Tim has toured in shows such as Round The Horne and The Look of Love Orchestra. Tim has workedin the jazz world with Digby Fairweather, Don Lusher and Bill Le Sage and Bobby Wellins as well as modern jazz giant George Russell. Tim worked all over the world as a theatre musician on the cruise ships, winding up back in Brighton to find fellow swing jazz lovers Piers and Terry.

Just a short note to thank you for the wonderful music. Everyone agreed that the music was great and the gentlemen added a lot with their wonderful sense of humour
