Megan is a recent graduate of Birmingham Conservatoire where she completed a 4-year BMus (Hons) Violin Performance Degree, studying under Susanne Stanzeleit. During her time there she successfully auditioned for the City of Birmingham Symphony Youth Orchestra and was involved in the Repertoire, String and Symphony Orchestras within Birmingham Conservatoire. A particular highlight was taking part in a performance of Verdi's Requiem with the Birmingham Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Barry Wordsworth, which was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3. She also won one of two places on the 'CBSO Orchestral Training Scheme' offered by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra where she was mentored by members of the orchestra, and rehearsed with the orchestra on 8 occasions. Megan has performed a number of violin and piano lunchtime recitals with the pianist Tim Carey. Recently performed works include sonatas from composers such as Prokofiev, Beethoven and Shostakovich. In July 2017, Megan is performing Korngold’s Violin Concerto, which will be performed in Colchester, Essex. Megan is on the lists of The Orchestra of the Swan, Londamis and the Welsh Sinfonia. Megan now receives coaching from Mark Eager, the conductor of the Welsh Sinfonia.
