Flautist and singer Martina Mihulková performs classical music and jazz along with her author compositions around London and her hometown Prague.
As a flautist, she has performed with Chamber Philharmonic Pardubice and Talich Chamber Orchestra, as well as the contemporary ensemble Berg, all based in the Czech Republic. During her studies she has played under the baton of Pietari Inkinen and Yan Pascal Tortelier amongst others. As a singer, she has recently collaborated with the Prague-based Jazzmazec band, and Přímá Oklika theatre ensemble, performing in a cabaret show. She has taken part in performances in the Barbican Hall in London, the Rudolphinum Dvořák’s Hall in Prague, as well as a number of club venues.
Martina is a graduate of the Prague Conservatoire, and is currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, learning flute with Ian Clarke, Sarah Newbold and Gareth Davies, and singing with Brigitte Beraha. Her studies are kindly supported by the Czech Music Fund and the Foundation Život umělce.
