What if my timings change after I've booked you?
I am always happy to be flexible to assure that your event runs as smoothly as possible. If the timings change, just let me know as soon as you can!
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes, though my list of songs is not as extensive as a dedicated DJ. There will be an extra fee, the cost will depend on the amount of time involved.
How much time do you need to set up?
I prefer to set up at least an hour in advance of the performance time.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Of course - I am always happy to tailor a set list to your requirements! I will also learn new song requests as long as I have enough time to rehearse them to performance standard.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Yes, I have all my own instruments and PA gear.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
Yes, I am happy to learn song requests as long as long as I have enough time to rehearse them to a performance standard. There would be an additional fee of £25 per new song.
What do your clients love most about your performances?
Clients love my Americana twist to modern songs, and how I encourage audience participation and get people singing along!
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Too many to list! Over the years I've played at folk clubs, festivals, restaurants, cafes, weddings, garden parties, pubs, and even museums and on a music train!
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, CSN, Townes Van Zandt, and more recently Gillian Welch, George Ezra.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
I've opened for Donovan, Al Stewart, Dave Mason, and Andy Irvine.
