Loris MacDonald and Daniel Quayle
About Loris MacDonald and Daniel Quayle
Loris MacDonald, hailing from the Isles of Shetland and Daniel Quayle, a native of the Isle of Man, both multi-instrumentalists, found themselves away from the comfort of their small insular lives for the first time, relocating to the capital of Scotland in 2015. It was through a mutual love for traditional music that they found each other, forming a lively duo of accordion and guitar. Both currently studying at Edinburgh University, they are settling into the city's busy folk scene, bringing their own style and experience to sessions, concerts and ceilidhs throughout the city. They have started arranging and performing sets of tunes from both islands, along with other favourites and personal compositions which are guaranteed to make you 'hup', and regularly play on alternate Fridays at the Doric pub on Market Street.
