Second year student studying Music MusB at the University of Manchester
Lily started playing the violin at the age of 4 and the piano at age 6. She is currently a second year music student at The University of Manchester and is studying violin with Julia Hanson at the Royal Northern College of Music. She left the Royal College of Music Junior Department in 2016, where she learnt with Viktoria Grigoreva for six years and previously at the Royal Academy of Music Primary Department with Yumi Sasaki for three years . In terms of orchestral and chamber music experience, Lily attend NCO for three years, Pro Corda and MusicWorks Chamber Music Courses for seven and four years respectively. She has played at prestigious venues such as Barbican, St James’s Piccadilly, Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall. At Manchester University she plays with the Manchester University Music Society (MUMS) Symphony, Chamber, String and Baroque Orchestras, as well as founding/ playing in the Lalé String Quartet and Alla Trio. She previously played with the Jibran String Quartet.
