About Liam

A musician from Cheltenham looking for gigs around the Gloucestershire and Chichester Area. Specialising in pit band and orchestral playing.
Violinist
West Sussex

Liam is currently studying for a BMus Performance on Violin at the University of Chichester. He is originally from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and has been involved in many youth, amateur and semi-professional orchestras around the county. He has also aided Cotswold Music Tutors with their music courses during the Easter and summer holidays. Some performance highlights included tours to Belgium and Germany’s Black Forest, the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Menin Gate Ceremony & Bruges Cathedral. He has worked with highly accomplished musicians such as Tasmin Little, Nicola Benedetti and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in county-wide string projects (involving up to 180 students). He received a masterclass from David Le Page in the annual European String Teachers Association Summer school in 2015. At university, he has discovered a keen interest in theatre pit band work with the Special Projects Group. Along with this ensemble, he is also a member of the Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Strings, Sinfonietta and Pops. Liam is also looking forward to joining the Chamber Orchestra and a new group setup by Violist Emilian Dascal next year. He has recently set up a new chamber ensemble with fellow members of the university, with the purpose of performing concert style string quartet repertoire. Whilst studying at Chichester University, Liam has performed in varies venues in the area and has also recorded at Abbey Road Studios, London.
