A Passionate, Professional, & Friendly Classical Pianist, Teacher and Student based in London.
Lewis began playing the piano at the late age of 13 - when his talent was spotted by a local piano teacher in the North West of England, he began lessons which after just two years took him to the prestigious Chethams School Of Music in Manchester, where he studied with Marie-Louise Taylor, Simon Bottomley, & Murray McLachlan. After spending an enjoyable three years at the school, he moved to London to study with acclaimed concert pianist and teacher, Philip Fowke, at Trinity College Of Music in Greenwich - he also takes part in regular Chamber Music coaching from the distinguished Deniz Gelenbe. He has also received lessons from international artists such as Artur Pizarro, Leon McCawley, Noriko Ogawa, and a masterclass with Stephen Hough. Lewis has performed as both recitalist and accompanist in venues such as Chethams' Carole Nash Hall, Baronial Hall, and Manchester's Palace Theatre. As an orchestral player he has performed in the RNCM Concert Hall, and Chester Cathedral with the Chethams Symphony Orchestra. Recent engagements have included performances in Trinity College of Music's Peacock Room, and the prestigious Wigmore Hall in Marylebone. As a soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician, Lewis enjoys exploring a vast and varied repertoire, performing works from the early baroque, classical and romantic periods - he is also keen to work with his composer colleagues at Trinity College of Music in developing and discovering their new music - an experience that he sees as both rewarding and challenging.
