Lewis Meaden is a UK based musical director, pianist/keys player and arranger. The majority of his experience is found in musical theatre productions. In his previous endeavours he has been the musical arranger for The Original Military Wives Choir, as well as musical director and rehearsal pianist for local Falmouth theatre productions whilst reading Music at Falmouth University. He has recently graduated with a first class degree and moved his home to Manchester where he has jobs aligning for the future. Before traveling to Falmouth to study, Lewis lived in Somerset where he was a student at Strode College studying Music and Music Technology and Physics. He was always in the pit orchestra for the musical productions put on through the college in Strode Theatre, which was joined to the main college building. It was this exposure to a professional theatrical environment that formed Lewis’ desire to work as a musician and in theatre productions, a desire that is now being realised. Lewis’ credits include: Musical Director of “Grease” for Tremough Follies Theatre Society. Musical Arranger of “You Must Be Strong” by Stuart Brayson for The Original Military Wives Choir. Musical Director of “A Cracking Christmas” for Falmouth Theatre Company. Musical Director of “13” for Tremough Follies Theatre Society. Rehearsal Pianist of “The Wedding Singer” for Falmouth Theatre Company. Keys 3 for “Cabaret” for Strode College. Keys 1 for “Miss Saigon” for Strode College. In his final year at Falmouth University, Lewis designed his module assessments to enable him to improve his piano/keyboard performance, musical direction, musical arranging and music preparation skills. Throughout the last three years the professionalisation of his chosen practice has been at the centre of all personal study choices and now his degree is complete, his list of experience is already starting to grow.
