Las Cuerdas Quartet met in 2013, the members of the group are David Kelly, Jess Farnden, Kieran Gunter and Max Coleman. They formed great chemistry immediately. After achieving an outstanding First in their January exams they were invited to play at the College's premier classical concerts: The Classical Showcase and the Gala Concert. Since this they have performed at many restaurants and cafés, as well as playing at prestigious venues such as Wakefield Cathedral and at the European Guitar Teachers Association concerts. One of their biggest highlights was being featured on BBC radio in a charity event in order to raise money for Children in Need under the slogan "Busk for the Bear". They were very successful in doing so and were warmly received.
