About Kath

Kath is a versatile violinist, based in London.
Public liability insurance of £10 million
Verified profile

Kath enjoys performing in a wide variety of settings, with a wealth of experience playing at various functions, weddings, and funerals. She runs Southampton's 'Chamber Music Collective', so is able to form an ensemble of varying sizes to suit the occasion, such as a violin/cello duo, or string quartet. She is adaptable to many events, and happy to discuss, advise, and learn appropriate repertoire for different clients. Kath has recently graduated from the University of Southampton with first class honours in music. She began learning violin at the age of 6, and is currently studying privately with Caroline Balding. She has been awarded the ‘A B Creber’ prize for musical achievement, ‘best performer in a music society’, first place in the John Ireland competition, and the Peter Evans prize for outstanding musical performance during her time at university. Kath has performed solo recitals in venues such as Turner Sims concert hall, Romsey Abbey, St Michael’s Church Southampton, and has enjoyed working with a variety of musicians, including Daniel Herskedal, Ivo Neame, David Owen Norris, and Pei-Jee Ng. She looks forward to studying at the Royal Academy of Music in September 2018 for her MA in performance.
