Juliette Sung has been in UK for six years and she is finishing her master of Architecture at the University of Sheffield this year. She began studying cello at the young age of five and piano at the age of seven in Hong Kong. Juliette gained her cello ATCL performance diploma in 2010, before studying aboard in Edinburgh.
She has participated in several performances at the University, including the festive concert held by the Dick Vet Musicians and the duet performance with piano at the Colours of Asia: An East Asian Fashion Show last year. Moreover, she has participated the University of Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra and String Orchestra.
Juliette started achieving excellent results from ABRSM competitions at the age of ten, including Solo cello, cello sonatas and cello concertos competitions.
Juliette was also the member of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra in Hong Kong and performed in Scotland during the music summer tour at the age of thirteen. During her study at St. George’s School for Girls, she was the principal cellist at the Sinfonia Orchestra and performed Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C major with them. Moreover, she was the vice principal cellist at the Edinburgh Youth Orchestra and performed with Philip Higham at the Usher Hall.
