Freelance Violinist, based in Leeds, Study Jazz BA at Leeds College of Music. released an award-winning album. Multi-instrumentalist

I'm a 19 year old Violinist studying a Jazz BA at Leeds College of Music. I've played violin since I was 5 years old and have experience performing (and recording) in many different genres of music, such as, Folk, Classical (grade 8), Jazz, Hiphop and rock, to name a few. I was previously key member of the Indie Folk band, Mortal Tides - we released our debut album "Light In / Light Out" in 2016 and it was highly critically acclaimed. We signed to IE: Music later that year. I have recorded and performed alongside the likes of: Kyan, Cavetown, Dulahli, Polly Paulusma, GRAE, Beth George and many more. Some of the key gigs I have played include: Secret Garden Party Festival (x3), Blissfields Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival (Den stage headliner), Folk East Festival (x2), Cambridge Corn Exchange, Bergfest in Berlin, Sofar Sounds (x5), Rough Trade West and BBC Introducing (x2). I've supported the likes of Tokio Myers, Zak Abel, Vels Trio, Jessie Ware and CC Smugglers.

They’ve certainly an eye for spotting talent as these lads have bucket loads of it, one to definitely watch out for!

Mortal Tides are clearly destined to do great things. Light In / Light Out sets them firmly on that path, in what is sure to be one of the most notable debut albums of the year.
