Hi! I’m a professional cellist, excited to perform your dream wedding music, worldwide. I provide lush music for your guests and your wedding ceremony, sophisticated and entertaining music for drinks receptions, and perfect background music wedding breakfasts. I can even arrange a special request for your first dance! For certain private events, I can provide perfectly suitable background and interim music. I provide solo acoustic cello, and I can also provide elctroacoustic cello with accompaniment backing tracks. I perform the favourite and tradtional classics; pop songs from over the decades; plenty of TV and film favourites, beautiful church hymns, and film and theatre favourites – there are no limits! I have also incorporated music from different cultures, including Bollywood, Jewish, Welsh Hymns, Traditional Hymns, AfroBeats, and more. I can arrange special requests of your favourite pieces of music and can sight-read and improvise fluently. I will happily transcribe special additional requests for solo cello, if it's not already in my music library. I have played cello for 30+ years, performing with professional orchestras and ensembles around the whole of the UK. I also travel internationally to perform with my cello, including the USA, the Caribbean, the Channel Islands, and much of Europe. Away from orchestras, I've been invited as backing strings for numerous musicians for professional recordings and live performances, have provided music for promo sessions, wedding shows, the BBC, Netflix, Global Radio, and various artists such as Alicia Keys, Akash Odedra, Amanda Holden, Ebony Bones, Bonaventura Bottone, Tiana Major9, and more. I have an MA Degree in Performance (with distinction), and to maintain an excellent standard of playing, I currently work with award-winning tutors at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. My primary cello is a beautiful English cello aged approx 200 years old called Sid, and he's lush. My second cello is set up for elctroacoustic performances, and is a beautiful 20 year old hand made cello. I travel worldwide, and can perform for as little or as long as you need. Very importantly, I am fully insured with Public Liability insurance which covers me for venues worldwide.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Some of the most repeated comments I hear about my performances, is how beautifully I play, how I settle in quickly without any fuss, and how much the guests enjoyed the music I performed!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

100s of luxury venues and private estates across the UK.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I'm influenced by a huge variety of artists! I have very eclectic tastes, and feel I can learn much more in terms of style and technique, by keep my options open. That said, whilst I enjoy Bach on the cello, I do love non-traditional classical music, and also love to play soul, fusion, world music, and folk on the cello. I listen to just about anything!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

All of my gigs are high profile, in my opinion! But, if I had to choose, I would say it would be performing with Alicia Keys for Netflix, or maybe doing a promo video for Max Factor. I've played such a wide variety of events, it's genuinely difficult to choose!

Do you have different line-up options?

I am a solo cellist for events, however I offer solo unacommpanied cello for a more romantic and intimate feel, and I also offer electric cello with backing accompaniment if you feel you might want something a little different!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Absolutely no problem! Nothing is ever set in stone, just make sure to keep me as up-to-date as possible, so that I can provide the best service for you.

How much time do you need to set up?

As long as there is a suitable chair (with no arms) for me to sit on whilst I play, I should literally only need about 5 minutes. For weddings, I will usually start playing about 15-30 mins before the start of the ceremony.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

You are more than welcome to pick and choose pieces from my play lists! If you're booking me for a wedding, then you just need to let me know what you would like for your entrance, signing the register, and your exit. If you have any special requests, or something not on the list, let me know and we'll work something out.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Almost! I will just need a chair to sit on, preferably one with no arms on the sides. I provide everything else, so you don't need to worry.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I can do, as long as I can make it suitable for solo cello! Ideally I will need between 3-6 weeks notice before your event, so that I can source, transcribe, and learn the music in advance. There is a fee of £40, by agreement.
