About Isobel

Cellist
Hatfield
Public liability insurance of £10 million
I am a professional cellist with years of experience performing in orchestral concerts (often as principal), chamber groups and shows.

I studied the cello under Naomi Butterworth at Trinity College of Music. Since graduating I have freelanced, playing orchestral and choral concerts, in pits for shows, recording tracks with a range of artists and performing at innumerable weddings, functions and events with string quartets. Please see my quartet The Four of Herts listed. As such I am a reliable pair of hands and a go- to player for work in the Hertfordshire and South East.

Just 30mins on average.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, we just need space to play and armless chairs in the spots we will be performing in,

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, its fine to ask for new pieces and I will do my best to source them,

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I'm quite a bubbly performer, but that's because I love what I do.

I wanted to thank you and Rachel very much for playing at Tilty church last Saturday. Will and our families said how lovely the music was before the service began and I thoroughly enjoyed the pieces while we signed the register and our hymns with such uplifting accompaniment. Several of our guests were in the military and knew the Boccherini well, they said how great it sounded! Thank you for your good advice all along, and for taking the time to interpret our choice of music.

We just wanted to take the opportunity to say a big thank you for playing at our wedding last month! Although we didn’t get much time to enjoy the music we know our guests definitely did, we had lots of comments that you guys were great and the music was fantastic throughout.
