Featuring Luc McNally (guitar/vocals), Charlie Grey (fiddle), Callum Cronin (double bass) and guest Ross Miller (pipes/whistles), the band look forward to performing at various UK folk clubs and festivals such as Sark Folk Festival, Stonehaven Folk Festival as well as some trips abroad. The band have previously performed at Celtic Connections, Folkest International Folk Festival in Italy. The band shines new light on source material whilst combining driving tune sets to create a high-energy performance geared towards North East Song-Styles. The Iona Fyfe Band is a finalist in the Hands up for Trad 2017 competition, Battle of the Folk Bands. The band launched their suitably-titled CD, ‘East’, in July 2016. “Listening to East, you’d think this was a group of musicians who’d been playing together for a considerable length of time; the instruments so well matched and the pace so perfectly set. East is an excellent taster of what Iona Fyfe and her band have to offer…”
