We are The Hot Scots Brass Band! A 7 piece (brass, sax and drums) band made up from full time professional musicians trained and living in Scotland. We have an extensive repertoire and can cater to any event! All our musicians studied music to degree level and now work as full time musicians. You can expect to see a set up of 2 trumpets, saxophone, 2 trombones, tuba and drums + PA system and DJ if required! We will adapt our set lists to suit your event. What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our band is unique and rare. We play your favourite hits, all instrumental. You'll hear the groundbreaking noise of the bass trombone and tuba while the trumpets carry the melody across the room!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

All of our member are full time professional musicians. Working in many different genres. We have all played countless venues in Scotland and England. Including smaller venues like Cottiers in Glasgow all the to venues like the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and Edinburgh Usher Hall.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line up is as follows: 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, saxophone, tuba/sousaphone and drum kit. We can alter this to suit your event. A brass only option consisting on trumpet, 2 trombones and tuba is also available.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We will try our best to flexible so your event can run smoothly. If timings do change, please let us know as soon as possible so we can let our band members know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. Our playlist service is included for free between sets. However if you would like to extend this until the venue closes or to be included before the event, please contact us for a quote.

How much time do you need to set up?

It will take us approximately 1hr to set up with PA system. Once the PA system is set up, we can provide a free playlist service while the band prepares to perform. If no PA is required then the band will need around 30 mins will be needed to set up.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes - We will perform acoustically most of the time, meaning we can move around freely,

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes - you can choose the songs from our set list. If you require additional songs to be arranged, we will provide the first 2 for free. After this, new song will be charged at £10 each.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We have a small PA and Lighting system which is included in the quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes we can learn new songs before the event. 2 new songs are included in your quote. After this, a £10 charge will apply for each new song. This is to account for writing the music for the band and rehearsal time.
