British horn player Helen Kuby is a young professional freelancing in orchestras across London.

British horn player Helen Kuby is a young professional freelancing in orchestras across London. Founding member of the upcoming group Rudra Ensemble, a wind group specialising in chilresn narration, Helen spends much of her time doing outreach work across London. Studying towards a Masters at the Royal Academy of Music, Helen studies with Michael Thompson, Richard Watkins, Martin Owen and Roger Montgomery (Natural horn, wagner tuba and baroque horn). Since here, the horn player has played with the Academy Symphony Orchestra, Academy Symphonic Brass and the Academy Sinfonia. Helen has played under the baton of Ed Gardner, Peter Stark, Robert Trevino, Ian Bousfield and Gareth Hancock. Some of her most influential teachers include Naomi Atherton, Christopher Griffiths, Peter Francombe as well as coaching from Radovan Vlatkovic and John Logan. Helen started her studies in Middlesbrough before commuting the Sage Gateshead Centre for Advanced Training for lessons with players from the Royal Northern Sinfonia. She now freelances in several orchestras across London including Orchestra for the Earth and University London Symphony Orchestra. In addition to her orchestral career, Helen is a keen teacher working as a brass peripatetic at Harris Academy Wimbeldon and teaches music theory at the East London School of Music.
