What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients have frequently commented on the enormous range of emotion and varied styles within our performances. We pride ourselves on reading the room, and are able to respond to the mood in order to give guests the best experience possible.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

As a new ensemble, we were delighted to play at Tewkesbury Live festival. Our very first performance was a Tudor House Hotel, and they were so impressed that they went on to book us to return on New Year's Eve! :) As solo artists, we have each had an enormous array of performing experience.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

A quick glance through lour set list will probably start to answer this! We love good pop music, hard-hitting rock tunes, soulful ballads, 50s rock 'n' roll, dance/club floor-fillers, etc...

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is: Female (lead) vocalist, Piano & (Male) Backing Vocals. We can offer solo instrumental piano during part of your booking. This might be particularly suitable during a meal, buffet, drinks reception, etc. We are happy to "mix and match" between solo piano and Acoustic Duo ensemble.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our utmost to maintain a flexible approach to our bookings. We understand that people do not always know precise details at the time of booking. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event, just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely - we can route an mp3 player through our amplification set-up in between our sets. This is a service which we offer for free on request in advance.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 60-90 mins before the performance start time. We like to allow plenty of time to ensure that the sound is perfect!

Can you roam around while you perform?

We have radio mics, so a limited amount of movement may be possible. This is dependent on the logistics and sound implications in the venue.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

The short answer is: Yes, absolutely! It's worth giving a little more detail to this though. We pride ourselves in taking time to liaise with clients, and to build the perfect set list to fully enhance the sense of occasion. It's so important that the music is in perfect sympathy with the event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We offer our amazing sound using a compact (yet "punchy") PA system. This is suitable for a very wide range of venues. We also have some lighting which we use sensitively to help enhance the atmosphere and mood in our performance.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.

Delighted to report about an excellent local duo (Piano Hedgehog and Billie) seen at a recent private function. The combination piano and lead vocal often comes with cliches, and yes there was an (admittedly excellent) version of an Adele song, but the invention in the piano arrangements and the versatility of the vocalist made this far more than a soothing backdrop to more important things. To go from traditional folk to a post millennial dance track within eight minutes was highly impressive and a tribute to the musicality of piano hedgehog himself and Billie’s distinctive post- Adele croon. I would recommend this musical combination for some serious checking out and musical investigation.

Hearing these two musicians together was such an effortless and relaxing experience. As well as their professionalism, they were both very approachable and easy to talk to. This made a massive difference. Their performance was charismatic and full of energy, but balanced with some beautifully quiet moments too. Would definitely book Hedgehog Billie again! Highly recommended :)
