Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love having a String Quartet at their event - live classical music brings a personal touch to their special day.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have played at hundreds of venues in Kent, London and the home counties. Venues varying from the grand such as the Imperial War Museum, Claridges, Penshurst Place, Chiddingstone and Hever Castles, to smaller hotel venues, pubs, village halls, even a bandstand in a village fair – and many gazebos and marquees in private homes and gardens of all sizes.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our most popular line up is the String Quartet with 4 players - 2 violins, viola and cello. This provides the fullest sound and has the most options in terms of repertoire. This is followed by the String Trio - violin viola and cello. We also have the String Duo - violin and cello, a budget option suitable for smaller events.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Do let us know if your timings change and we will do our best to accomodate this.

How much time do you need to set up?

We will arrive 30 mins before our agreed start time to set up.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course - we will play a setlist of pieces that are suitable for your event, and if you have any special requests from our repertoire list let us know. If you would like you can request that we mainly play classical, lighter pieces or pop if you wish.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Your venue will need to provide 4 armless chairs for us and enough space for us to play (10 foot square). We can only play outside in the summer months if the weather is mild and we are under shelter such as a gazebo - we can't play if it's raining outside or if we are in direct sunlight because our antique and valuable instruments are easily damaged.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If there's a piece you want us to play that you can't see in our list, let us know because we may have it already. If not, we can source it or arrange it for you for a fee.

From customers:

Client, 3 years ago

…thank you and all the members of the Haysden String Quartet for your beautiful music on Saturday. The music was so in keeping with the setting.

Client, 2 years ago

We wish to thank you and the Haysden String Quartet for playing so beautifully at our wedding reception. We enjoyed the music enormously, as did our family and friends. It made our reception just that little more special, especially as some of our favourite pieces of music were played.
