Grace is a flautist, pianist, singer, piccolo player and private teacher based in Glasgow, looking for work in the UK.

Grace Murray MPerf(Dist) PGDip(Dist) BMus(Hons) studied flute with Emer McDonough and Gitte Marcusson as a scholar and Edward & Helen Hague award-winner on the Royal College of Music's MPerf course, where she graduated from with distinction in July 2018. She was a semi-finalist in the RCM Spring Concerto Competition. Grace has performed at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; The Bridgewater Hall; Glasgow Royal Concert Hall; Glasgow City Halls and Kensington Palace in the presence of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. She was a member of the Hallé Youth Orchestra and studied at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music before winning a scholarship to study on the BMus (Hons) course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, where she graduated from in July 2016. At RCS, Grace studied flute with Katherine Bryan (Royal Scottish National Orchestra), Richard Blake (The Orchestra of Scottish Opera) and Ruth Morley (Red Note, Hebrides Ensemble). During her undergraduate course, Grace was principal flute of the RCS Symphony Orchestra and won apprenticeship schemes with the RSNO & BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, as well as working with The Orchestra of Scottish Opera and touring opera company, 'Raucous Rossini'. She has also taken part in side-by-side schemes with The Hallé, BBC Concert Orchestra and Royal Opera House, and held principal flute seats with Glasgow Philharmonia and the Women of the World Festival Orchestra. Never one to entertain the idea of spare time, Grace also studied piccolo with Janet Richardson (RSNO), jazz flute with Paul Towndrow (Scottish National Jazz Orchestra), conducting with Nigel Boddice and piano accompaniment with Scott Mitchell during her BMus course. Outside college, she currently tours the UK with her ceilidh band 'The Brogues' and folk duo 'Two Far Flung'. Grace has worked as accompanist, conductor and director of various community choirs in England and Scotland, having been a Denstone College Chapel Chorister herself for 5 years. She also has her grade 8 in alto saxophone and has been leading her church worship band for over 10 years.
