Goosebumps

Goosebumps are a five piece swing band from Kent, UK and we have been swinging ourselves silly for ten years, performing rare and unique swing, jive, jump blues, rock 'n' roll and funk tunes not only around our home county of Kent but also in London, the rest of the UK, Europe and the world! Our lively and entertaining on-stage performances fit perfectly with anyone that wants a unique and entertaining band for their party, wedding reception, corporate event, awards ceremony, black tie evening or funeral. Did we just say funeral? I think we did. The original inception of Goosebumps had started in 2006 by lead singer Mark Churchward who had a desire to create a band that played such great music that it would invoke goosebumps amongst the audience and thereby the name of the band was decided. After finding Ben Green on the now-defunct Kent Gigs 'musicians wanted' site, the pair decided to put together a set list that had a wide variety of songs that not many other bands were performing. After finding a suitable line-up consisting of lead vocals, double bass, saxophone, guitar and drums, Goosebumps started gigging locally and slowly but surely honed our set list and built up a loyal following along the way, many of whom still come and see us perform at public gigs today. It wasn't long before wedding enquiries started to filter in and quite frankly, it had come as a bit of a surprise to us initially because we were not too sure if our eclectic set list of vintage swing and jive songs would appeal and yet it soon became apparent that there was a quite the demand from wedding couples who were seeking a live band that were unique, a bit different and altogether more memorable than just a typical function band. We were and to this very day continue to be very grateful that we are chosen by so many couples to be their favourite band who invite a us to entertain them on their very important day.
