The Goldwing Quartet are currently based in the South London area, and are available for bookings throughout London and elsewhere.
The quartet was formed in September 2014 at ‘Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance’ and is comprised of Tomohiko Kimura (violin), Rosie Judge (Violin), Jamie-lee Glinsman (Viola) and Barbara Mohorko (Cello). They have been quick to establish a strong musical character in their work, delivering performances infused with energy and passion whilst dealing sensitively with major quartet repertoire. As well as cultivating a great appreciation for classic works, they also include in their programme refreshing new takes on other genres. The Group receives regular expert tuition from Michael Bochmann (Violin professor and string chamber coach at Trinity Laban). The Quartet has also recently participated in a number of masterclass’ with the internationally renowned ‘Wihan Quartet’, and have been commissioned to perform works by Trinity Laban’s composers, recently recording the premier of Erica MacLeod’s work, 'Swarm', (inspired by the 1963 Hitchcock film ‘The Birds’).
Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it.
