Gabriel Rodrigues is a highly skilled double bass player with extensive experience in various orchestras and music festivals around the world. Since 2021, he has been working as an Extra Player for both the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. In 2019, he participated in the Side by Side Scheme with the Welsh National Opera and Orchestra of the Swan in Birmingham. From 2018 to 2019, Gabriel was a part of the Scheme for the Royal Birmingham Ballet in London. In the same year, he worked as a No.3 Double Bass Player for the Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa in Lisbon, Portugal. He also played in the Chipping Campden Music Festival in Chipping Campden in 2018. Gabriel started his career as a Co-Principal of the Orquestra Sinfonietta in Porto, Portugal, from 2014 to 2016. He also played as a Double Bass Tutti for the Orquestra do Norte and Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa in Porto in 2015. Gabriel is currently doing a Master of Music in Performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where he studies under the guidance of Kevin Rundell. He also obtained a Master of Music in Instrumental Performance with Merit from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in July 2022 under the tutorship of Thomas Martin. Before that, Gabriel completed a Bachelor of Music (Hons) Instrumental Performance with a 2:1 degree classification from the same conservatoire, where he studied under the tutelage of Thomas Martin, Anthony Alcock, Julian Atkison, and Damián Rubido.
