Eleanor is a scholar at New College, Oxford, where she studies music. Prior to this, she was a scholar at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she learned with Robert Manasse and Kate Walter. Eleanor was in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain from 2013-15 in which she was principal flautist during her final year. She is very active on the music scene in Oxford as both an orchestral flautist and soloist, collaborating with ensembles including the St Peters Chamber Orchestra, New Chamber Opera, the Oxford Bach Ensemble and the Perseus Ensemble. She currently holds the record for the highest ever mark in Preliminary Examinations in Music (Performance) at Oxford University. In 2016 she was the youngest member of the twelve ‘Young International Professionals’ of the Netherlands Flute Academy. Eleanor is currently learning under the tutelage of Michael Cox. She has performed in numerous venues across Britain and Europe, including the Barbican, the Royal Festival Hall, Symphony Hall Birmingham, The Sage Gateshead, The Royal Albert Hall, the Berlin Konzerthaus, and at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
