Edward is Organ Scholar at St Mary's Church, Nottingham where he accompanies the choir regularly. As well as deputising in other churches locally, he gives frequent recitals around the country. Edward received his early musical education as a chorister at Westminster Abbey where he sang in daily services as well as concerts and many prestigious events such as Nelson Mandela’s memorial service and Handel’s Messiah where he was a soloist. After leaving Westminster Abbey in 2016 he was awarded a Music Scholarship to Loughborough Grammar School where he started learning the organ under David Cowen. He has also participated in masterclasses with some of the world's best organists including Jeremy Filsell, David Goode and Anne Elise Smoot. Since he started playing the organ, Ed has since performed in cathedrals and churches across the UK.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

The organists who influenced me the most were Pierre Cochereau, Jeremy Filsell and David Briggs. Their improvisations and performances of especially the French modern repertoire were inspiring.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably Nelson Mandela's Memorial service in Westminster Abbey or Britten’s War Requiem in the Royal Albert Hall
