Almost like being in love
All the things you are
All of me
Ain’t nobody here but us chickens
Ain’t no sunshine
Autumn in New York
Baby it’s cold outside
Body and Soul
Bye bye blackbird
Chain of Fools
Come rain or come shine
Cry me a river
Dance me to the end of love
Do I move you
Dream a little dream
Early in the morning
Falling in love with love
Fly me to the moon
Get out of town
Give me the simple life
God bless the Child
Hallelujah I just love him so
Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Hum Drum Blues
How deep is the ocean?
Home at last
I can’t give you anything but love
I fall in love too easily
I heard it through the grapevine
I only have eyes for you
I love Paris
I just wanna make love to you
It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing
I’m a fool to want you
I’m beginning to see the light
In a sentimental mood
In the wee small hours of the morning
Is you is or is you ain’t my baby?
I’ve got you under my skin
It’s always you
Just one of those things
Let the good times roll
Let’s get lost
Let’s do it
Love me or leave me
Lover come back to me
Lullaby of Birdland
Mad about the boy
My Funny Valentine
Mas que nada Fm
Minnie the Moocher
My baby just cares for me
My favourite things
My foolish heart
Night and day
No moon at all
Peel me grape
One note samba
Pennies from heaven
Perhaps perhaps perhaps
Quiet nights of quiet stars
Since I fell for you
Slow hot wind
Sneaking up on you
Softly as in a morning sunrise
Somewhere over the rainbow
Someone to watch over me
Sugar in my bowl
Sunny side of the street
Taking a chance on Love
Tell it like it is
That old black magic
The look of love
There will never be another you
The windmills of your mind
There is no greater love
The girl from Ipanema
Trouble then satisfaction
Well you needn’t
Willow Weep for me
What are you doing the rest of your life?
When I fall in love
What a difference a day makes
You’ve got a friend
Your heart is as black as night
You and the night and the music
What do your clients love most about your performances?
We have been playing a long time and we are all so comfortable it makes working together a dream! We can create a very intimate atmosphere that really puts people at ease. Previous clients have said they love my voice and phrasing and my arrangements of Jazz Standards. I also hear how they love the improvisation and how well we all gel together as a band.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Ronnie Scott’s Pizza Express Jazz Rooms The Marlowe Theatre The Sage Gateshead The Astor Theatre Margate Jazz Festival Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival Jazz Co-op Newcastle The Vault - Hexham The Forum Tunbridge Wells The Alexander Centre, Faversham
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Nina Simone Mel Torme Billie Holiday Sarah Vaughan Chet Baker Frank Sinatra Dianne Reeves Eva Cassidy Amy Winehouse Leonard Cohen Led Zeppelin
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
I’ve performed at theatres and jazz clubs up and down the country but my best is yet to come, I have a gig March 2020 with world class Saxophonist Paul Booth, his Quartet, Stephen on Guitar and a string section at Canterbury Cathedral. We will be performing some of our originals and Paul is arranging songs for strings! We are very excited!
Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?
Yes, Dulcie is the lead singer and core member of the group.
Do you have different line-up options?
Our line-up is Voice, Guitar, double or electric bass, Drums and Saxophone. We can also provide a trumpet player either instead of or aswell as a saxophonist, and a pianist can be added to any of these line-ups.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We will always do our best to be flexible and try to stick to one performance a day to make sure we are on top form for each event. So we won’t be rushing off anywhere or leaving you in the lurch.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
We can include music in between sets with no problem. We have playlists created for this purpose.
How much time do you need to set up?
Ideally we would have two hours before the performance. If you need us to then we can set up before guests arrive. We can discuss what needs setting up including lighting and P.A system and we always do a thorough sound check to make sure it sounds as good as possible!
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
We have written our set lists to ensure we are all giving our best performances with songs that really suit us. We have our favourites of course but if you have some that you’d love to hear from our repertoire then we will of course play them for you!
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Our P.A and lighting is included. We can be compact and fit into small spaces or we can spread out on a larger stage area.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
There may be a chance we already know the song but if not we learn new songs for a fee of £30 per song.
