About Deptford Wives

Country blues trio
Public liability insurance of £1 million
Witty and sophisticated country tinged blues.

Edori Fertig, artist and singer, brings New York style to classic Lee Hazlewood, Peggy Lee and other 20th century favourites. She also writes the lyrics for the band's popular originals that provide a wry and dry running commentary on a baby boomer's travels through middle age. Fergus Grew on guitar and Nat Wallace on bass are both from 90's cult band Gretschen Hofner. Here they are reunited to create a twangy, dark, romantic backdrop to Edori's soulful vocals. Playing without a live drummer means the band can easily provide anything from quiet dinner music up to full on dance vibes.
