After attending Trinity College of Music in London, Della continued her professional studies in Manchester with former Halle principal viola John Adams. She freelanced for orchestras including Manchester Camerata before relocating to Scotland. Here she performed as soloist with Highland Chamber Orchestra under Tony Halstead. Returning to Manchester in 2013, she enjoys a busy freelance playing career, from session strings to recording opera for Naxos under Sir Richard Bonynge. She is principal viola for Piccadilly Symphony Orchestra, and enjoys playing chamber music with the Piccadilly String Quartet.
